Felt animal heads: Cute characters to brighten up your walls
Felt animal heads are the latest trend sweeping children’s bedrooms and nurseries across the country. From cute animal clothes hooks to decorative wall mounted unicorns, giraffes and flamingos. We know you’re going to love these unique characters. Here at Dorothy and Theodore, we stock a huge selection of wall decor and accessories so we’re going to show you a few of our favourites.
Fiona Walker animal heads
The name Fiona Walker is synonymous with felt animal heads. Her beautiful designs brighten up any room by creating a safari on the wall. Fiona creates a selection of animals and each one is handmade especially for you when you order. Brighten up the room with a colourful fox, giraffe, lion or tiger. Perfectly compliment a black and white theme with a zebra, sheep, panda or swan or choose a popular pastel elephant or pastel giraffe. Equine lovers will be thrilled with a light or dark horse or a donkey. There’s a T-rex for little dinosaur fans as well.
These cute creatures make a head-turning feature for the nursery or a fun addition to a themed playroom or bedroom. Each animal designed by Fiona Walker is ethically handmade using wool stuffed with polyfil. The addition of a hook is optional on these felt animal heads.
She also offers a large rabbit / hare head, a large elephant head, a large giraffe head or a special birthday bear. Check out our Fiona Walker collection to view all the available options and prices.
Wall hook felt animal heads
If you’re looking for something a little smaller, a set of decorative small animal hooks designed by Fiona Walker will fit the bill. Each miniature animal head comes with a hook attached. They are light and easy to wall mount and make an ideal addition to any room.
For a bedroom or playroom, these hooks are a natural place for a child to hang clothes or bags. They’re great for the hallway too, simply mount them at child height so that they can easily hang up their coats when they come in. Tidying up just got more fun!
Every hook is light and easy to wall mount. As with the larger heads, the hook collection is available with a variety of animal heads including a little unicorn and even a moose head. Shop for your favourite animal head or browse the collection.
Felt animal heads from other makers
One of the most popular felt heads for little ones on our website is the magical decorative unicorn head. This one comes on a wooden trophy board measuring 30cm x 39cm. A d-hook is already attached to the board. One of the fun things about the unicorn is that you can choose your favourite colour for the mane, head, trophy board and even the unicorn’s horn.
The unicorn is handmade by the Sunburnt Snowman with the highest standard of finish. If you love the Sunburnt Snowman but unicorns are not for you, you could check out the wall-mounted triceratops dinosaur head, the unlikely looking narwhal or the elephant.
My personal favourite is the flamingo. This one is 45cm high and comes with its own tutu attached! You can even choose the colour of its beak. The bird’s bright pink colour is bound to stand out in any room. It would make an incredible, unusual gift.
